In a study designed to determine the characteristics of 217 children attending a chiropractic college teaching clinic, it was found that pediatric patients had common complaints of ear-infections, sinus problems, allergies, bed-wetting, respiratory problems, and gastro-intestinal problems. After undergoing chiropractic treatment, complete or substantial improvement was noted in 61.6% of pediatric patients.
In another study, children from 27 days to 5-years-old who suffered from ear infections were studied to determine if a correlation existed between chiropractic care and ear infections. It was found, that with chiropractic care, the recurrence rate over a six month period for acute ear infections was 11.02% and 16.34% for chronic ear infections. It was concluded that there is a strong correlation between the chiropractic adjustment and the resolution of ear infections for children in the study.
